Nota: (hhhmmm..murag lain lagi to paminawon...hahaha) aw, mananghid lang ko na mag-iningles kadali kay... feel nako gyud... hehehe... paxenxahi na ang errors... way edit na akong blog... stream of consciousness na tanan...
From the time the elocution contest has been considered to be one of the year level wide activity, I promised myself that one of my "anak" will make it to the top--not necessarily 1st but one of the bests from the second year. I had my classroom eliminations and sent Rj (Canisius), Maica (Jogues) and Firmo (Pignatelli). During the semi-finals, I was nervous. I felt like I was the one who's going to deliver the speech. It's like all my students butterflies in their stomachs transferred to me and I felt my knees moving like jelly ace held by hand. Whew! After the eliminations, the results revealed Firmo to be one of the top 5 finalists! Yahooo.... I announced it to the world whether they care about it or not. They need to know. I can't help to be a proud teacher of one of the finalists. During the finals, I required 2-Pignatelli to be there to show support. Too bad! Clapping and cheering is not allowed. So what my class did was to put on placards our cheers. We waved our hands like drunkards who ran out of liquor. Hehehe... After the contest? Whola! Firmo made it. Ma'am Van asked me to keep the records. I found out while staring at the figures that Firmo is just 4th and not 3rd. My God! How will I explain this to him? He was already frustrated for not being able to make it in the 2nd place and this? NNNooo... So I calculated the figures again!!! HHHmmm... THANK GOD! Firmo is indeed 3rd! A blast inside ruled my spirits! A BIG HIT for a small man like Firmo! As a reward, he got 2 points direct to the card. ^^ Good Job!
